Good ideas deserve an open, respectful conversation.

Physical therapy professionals work in many different settings, communities, and employment models. No single approach will fit them all.

Stand for PT supports thoughtful evaluation of lawful advocacy tools—including professional associations, policy coalitions, a professional federation, or union representation where workers freely choose it—as possible ways to improve compensation, benefits, retirement security, staffing, retention, and conditions that support patient care.

Clear boundary: Stand for PT is an independent advocacy initiative. This petition is not a union authorization card, does not establish a union, and does not designate any organization as a bargaining representative.

Support the workforce. Strengthen patient care.

Fair compensation, meaningful benefits, sustainable reimbursement, manageable workloads, and clinician retention help protect patient access, continuity, and the time needed for high-quality care. Stand for PT asks decision-makers to advance solutions that support both professionals and the patients who depend on them.
